Daihatsu VEHICLES FOR SALE
The Japanese Daihatsu Motor Company was created in 1907 and is located in Ikeda. The brand is renowned for its off-road models and small-sized models. The Daihatsu name stems from the Japanese words for Osaka and the term “engine manufacture.” Together, they say Daihatsu.
The mission of the Daihatsu brand is to create popular, small cars and to produce, sell and import these cars world-wide in large globalisation efforts.
In the 1960’s, Daihautsu began exporting cars to Europe, achieving success in the 1980’s. In 1992 in the US and Canada, Daihatsu Motor Car began to be distributed by Toyota.
The Daihatsu Company is also very focused on innovation; their new slogan even being “Innovation for Tomorrow”, aimed at the group’s corporate activities. On the companies’ 100th birthday, a group philosophy and corporate social responsibility principle was established as a foundation for corporate activities to be built from.
Small and compact vehicles are becoming more popular as they are more environmentally friendly, socially focused and consumer driven. Daihatsu is at the helm of this trend as its focus has always been on the creation of compact cars.
The Daihatsu Motor Company builds their cars according to a policy of “Genchi-genbutsu,” which involves taking the correct course of action through visiting the core facts and create a general consensus in aid of achieving the company’s goals successfully.
With the current global issues such as over-population, diminishing space and worsening environmental issues, big, heavy cars are not ideal anymore. Small cars are smart cars. They are better for the environment and better for people too.
The Daihatsu Company has an end goal of becoming the leading compact car maker in the world. Their practicality and innovative and imaginative approach to car making may very well see them achieve this goal, especially as part of the Toyota Group.
