On-road Elegance With The Pre-owned Hyundai Grand i10 Sedan

On-road Elegance With The Pre-owned Hyundai Grand i10 Sedan

Sophisticated design with a touch of modernity does not have to come at a steep price. Automotive excellence is no longer only a European standard, with many Asian car manufacturers going above and beyond with their offerings.

Take Hyundai, South Korea’s leading car maker, which stands out with its low-cost, economical buys. Renowned for their sleek design and plush interiors, they offer an elevated driving experience.

That said, when browsing through our curated collection of Hyundai pre-owned models, the Grand i10 Sedan may pique your interest. In the realm of automotive elegance, the pre-owned Hyundai Grand i10 Sedan stands out as a beacon of sophistication and comfort without the high price tag. Renowned for its sleek design and plush interiors, this sedan offers a driving experience that seamlessly blends style with functionality.

Redefined Aesthetics

The range carries two options for consumers to consider, both fitted with a 1.2L petrol engine and either a manual or automated transmission gearbox. The 4-cylinder engines reach max speeds of 167 km/h on manual and a 5.9 L/100 km fuel economy rate in the automated mode.

Graceful Design

Repurposed as the Grand i10 Sedan from the Aura variant in India, this car has much to boast. Starting with its design, while compact, it certainly has a contemporary feel and look. Fine lines and a robust grille are added touches to the exterior. It is a head-turner in the concrete jungle in our books.

Understated Luxury

Hyundai is not often associated with luxury exclusivity, but we can’t help but admire the interiors of the Grand i10 sedan on this one. Meticulous craftsmanship dots the cabin, from exceptional stitching to futuristic embellishments on the front dashboard. Although the cabin lacks shiny finishes, it is not cheapened in any way, which is appealing to consumers looking for practical elegance.

Hyundai is pushing towards more four-door sedan variations. Their last well-received effort was the iconic Elantra, which has sadly been discontinued. But the Grand i10 Sedan is more than a worthy replacement, in our opinion.

Book your test drive in one of our high-end Hyundai pre-owned models, from the Grand i10 Sedan to the Venue. Experience commitment, quality, and reliability you can trust with Motus Select.

Lexus the fifth generation RX

Lexus the fifth generation RX

A milestone performance hybrid with Direct4, the RX 500h sees Lexus shift its focus from optimum efficiency to produce a model with a genuine performance edge, raising the RX’s appeal with customers who want high-end electrified performance.

Lexus has launched the fifth generation RX with a brand-new design, new powertrains, greater performance, refined luxury, unparalleled safety and a revolutionary plug-in hybrid model.

Refined new chapter design language

During the design process  the team took inspiration from the model’s rich heritage to produce a car that is instantly recognisable while also being more dynamic, elegant and confident.

As part of the process a new design language called New Chapter was formulated which incorporates a new spindle body, achieved by integrating the signature spindle grille concept into the entire front of the vehicle. The slim headlight units and a front track that is 15mm wider emphasises the car’s lower centre of gravity and planted look. Sculpted surfaces on the door panels, flared rear wings and 21-inch wheels add a sense of dynamism.

The rear features a shorter overhang, wider track and sweeping transition from the wings around to the taillights. The rear combination lights are set in a light bar that spans the width of the car and wraps around the corners to heighten the wider look which is further underlined by the new Lexus word logo.

F Sport models are fitted with a bespoke front bumper that expresses a wide and low stance and contributes to aerodynamic performance. These models also gain 21-inch, exclusive, multi-spoke, black gloss aluminium wheels, six-piston brake callipers and the grille features an exclusive mesh pattern.

Under the bonnet

The new RX is available with three different electrified powertrains. The RX 450h+ adopts plug-in hybrid technology and offers 65km of EV driving range. Once the battery is depleted, the vehicle switches seamlessly to the self-charging hybrid system, maintaining high fuel and emissions efficiency. The system uses a four-cylinder Atkinson cycle 2.5-litre hybrid engine paired to the Lexus e-CVT system and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery with an 18.1kWh capacity. An additional rear electric motor enables Lexus E-four fulltime all-wheel drive. Total output measures 227kW.

A milestone performance hybrid with Direct4, the RX 500h sees Lexus shift its focus from optimum efficiency to produce a model with a genuine performance edge, raising the RX’s appeal with customers who want high-end electrified performance. This model uses a completely new parallel hybrid architecture, featuring a turbocharged 2.4-litre petrol engine with six-speed automatic transmission, integrated front motor and power control unit, hybrid battery and compact rear e-axle. A total system output of 273kW and 550Nm allows this model to sprint to 100km/h in 6,2 seconds while using just 6,5 litres per 100km. The intelligent all-wheel drive system uses a separate electric motor and inverter to constantly balance the power and torque between the front and rear axles in any driving situation.

The RX 350h is characterised by a smooth and efficient self-charging hybrid system. The 2.5-litre petrol drivetrain offers 184kW while using just 5,4 litres per 100km thanks to the same selection of hybrid components as used in the RX 450h+.

In addition to these electrified options a RX 350 is available with a new 2.4-litre turbocharged inline-four petrol engine that offers 205kW and 430Nm and is paired to a short-ratio eight-speed Direct Shift-8AT and electronically controlled full-time all-wheel drive. This model is capable of accelerating to 100km/h in 7,6 seconds while using an average of 8,7 litres per 100km.

Inside story

Inside the driver-centred cockpit focuses on giving the driver direct, intuitive control of the vehicle. This was achieved by optimising SUV fundamentals such as the centre of gravity, weight reduction, rigidity and powertrain to create a more natural dialogue between the car and the driver and results in the car shrinking around the driver by providing a nimble, agile driving experience. The improved handling is made possible by the use of the Lexus GA-K platform which offers excellent body rigidity and a low centre of gravity.

The interior expresses luxury through simplicity with a less is more approach which prioritises a cool, contemporary look featuring clean, uncluttered surfaces. The large 14-inch touchscreen and provision of physical buttons for frequently used functions helps minimise driver head movement.

Creature comforts include three-zone air conditioning, a 21-speaker Mark Levinson audio system, wireless charger, illuminated entry, heads up display as well as seat heating and ventilation. Cargo volume is 612 litres with the rear seats in place.

The latest in safety technology

The RX benefits from the third-generation Lexus Safety System+, with an improved Pre-Crash System. It is also available with Lexus’ Safe Exit Assist which prevents doors being opened into the path of vehicles or cyclists approaching from the rear. Elements of the integrated safety technology include Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert and abnormal driver condition response system.

The Adaptive Variable Suspension featured across the range provides independent damping control at each wheel, contributing to a more comfortable ride on uneven surfaces, higher damping force when turning and flat ride stability and is customisable with Normal and Sport modes.
